Grows 8 10 tall and wide with strong horizontally tiered branches. Mariesii is a doublefile viburnum noted for its distinctively layered horizontal branching. As part of a flowered hedge as a standalone or in shrub beds its growing and maintenance is easy. Genus viburnum can be deciduous or evergreen shrubs with opposite simple or palmately lobed leaves and clusters of small often fragrant white or pink flowers followed by red blue or black berries.
