collection Frost hardy gardenia!!!

The frost proof gardenia is an easy to grow gardenia with dark green shiny leaves and large snowy white blooms. The range of minimum average temperatures for zone 6 is between 10 f and 0 f or 23 3 c and 17 8 c. The frost proof gardenia is an attractive uniform mid sized evergreen shrub. Gardenias are a beautiful but fragile plant.

Frostproof gardenias grow best in soil. Test the soil with a ph testing kit. Growth is upright and vase shaped to 3 4 tall. It would be beautiful as a hedge or potted for a stunning patio plant.

Evergreen leaves are dark green glossy but more narrow than other varieties. Traditional gardenias are finicky and hard to grow. Our favorite hardy gardenia so far frost proof is an over achiever. Perfect as a specimen plant and useful as hedges or in containers.
